MENTAL HEALTH EVALUATION

The Mental Health Evaluation is a  psycho-social assessment which consists of a clinical interview,  review of relevant background information, and application of  standardized assessment instruments. It is designed to determine  cognitive, affective, and situational factors that may interfere  with an individual’s ability to cope with or manage situations. The  evaluation is completed by a licensed mental health professional,  and examines the individual’s mental status, current level of  emotional and social functioning, and need for treatment. Following  the completion of the interview, a report is generated that  summarizes the significant features of the case, and a corresponding  treatment plan.
